i met him way back.. n im serious when i say waayyy back...
we're talkin : 8th Grade in 1995 !!!
it was in Science class to be exact !
whoaaa !!!.. hahaha...

he was one of the 1st friends i made in Virginia...
we stayed friends from the 1st day of 8th grade and thru out High Skool..
and it ddnt stop there..
even after High Skool we were still good friends...

in 2003 as u all kno i moved back to Indo...
i cant even say we've lost touch... nope...
thanks to the internet we stil kne wut was goin on in each others' lifes..

neways he's been wantin to come visit for the longest time...
tho it took him 7 years to come here.. but heeyyy...
he finally did visit me!!!

and he is still the same ol' Saqib...
same crazaayyy personality...
i just luv iittt !!!

*Weekend Getaway*

Just got back from a weekend getaway with a bunch of friends...

no where far tho..

just went to Bandung..

but i must say i had a greaaatt time...

it was def a much needed lil getaway for me...

- We do 'Print Ads' .. DAMN I LOVE INDONESIA.. yuupp !

- We give each other the '1st cake' on our bdays

- We luuuvvv to follow the dress code whenever we go out partying...

- We definitely hit concerts together.. yaayyy !!!

- We have fuunnn under the sun...

and we do soooo much more together....

i'm so glad to have met Nay..

she n i sure make a great team..

so great that we even think alike..

its been 3 years and its been a smooth sailing kinda friendship...

i saw him live in concert back in 2007 in S'pore, which was breathtaking !!!...

so when i heard he was comin to Jakarta, i just knee i had to meet him in person sumhow...

*1st try : thru work : i was all hyped bout it, but turns out we couldnt get an interview with him :(

yea, i dont take 'no' for an answer, so i had to find another way...

*2nd try: thru a friend : he works for Sony Music.. called him, texted him, pinged him, u name it!

and he said "there's a meet n greet, i'll see wut i can do"

annddd he sure did his magic!... i got to meet aandd greet Mr. John Legend!.. aaaahhhhhh!!!

the Holy land

WOW!!!..

its been almost 2 years since i last blogged..

hmmm... ddnt really miss much tho.. a couple of bdays, vacays, and all that usual stuff..

decided to blog this time..

cuz i just came back from an AMAZING trip ever..

YUP!.. i went on an Umrah.. a pilgrimage to Mecca...

my parents (ok, my mom) have been tryin to convince me to go for the last couple of years, n my answer would always b "Nope, not ready, maybe next year" every single time...

until early this year that is, she had asked me again..

n this time i sure got a diff answer for her...

i said "Yes, i'll go, gimme the dates n i'll make sure i can get days off from work"...

i really was ready to go :)

how did i react when i saw the Ka'bah : amazed, speechless, n then i just crieeedd...

it was an indescribable feeling, this is the Ka'bah that i usually see on my sajjada...

to see it with my own eyes it was just .. aaaahh.. in awe i tell ya...

total 9 days away from everythin, yup i cut all ties for real - no cell fones, no internet for meee..

just pray, eat, n sleep.. pray, eat, n sleep.. pray eat, n sleep..

n i enjoyed ever single moment of it...

so if anyone asks me to go on Umrah again, i'll say "Yes" in a heartbeat...

just gimme time to save up sum money 1st tho.. hehehhe..
